A coax point (or TV point) is a wall outlet for a standard coaxial aerial cable, used to connect a television to a rooftop aerial for terrestrial TV. A satellite point is a similar wall outlet, but wired for satellite coaxial cable (such as from a Sky or Freesat dish), which carries a different signal to a coax aerial point.
Can I Use a Satellite Point for a Normal TV Aerial?
No — although the outlets can look similar, the cabling behind a satellite point is run back to a satellite dish, not a TV aerial, so it won't carry a standard aerial signal. It's important the correct point is installed and labelled for what it's actually wired to.
What is a Combined Coax and Satellite Point?
